Glowed like the ocean skies

She laughed at my jokes

She’s a perfect flower to me

A predisposed California Rose

But she’s gotta boyfriend

Compete with that nobility??

Gonna be impolite, gonna put up a fight, never gonna quit

Jake the Chocolate Cake Water Snake

There once was a serpent

Who thought earth was no place to raise a family

So he swam to a place way out in space

Where his posterity could live and grow happily

Jake the chocolate cake water snake

Carried his kids to Neptune

Five fell thru Triton’s nitro fog

And were chewed by flying frogs

Jake the chocolate cake water snake

Two fell onto liquid rocks

And were burned by solar shocks

That articulate reptile didn’t have an outer ear

But he could hear everything

From your daddy’s quiet crying to your mama’s loud snoring

As she dreams about ham all morning

Four fell into frozen briars

And were choked by methane fires

That articulate reptile didn’t have an outer ear

And began dividing like a cell

Now Jake’s children finally got established on Neptune

High above The Viper Room

Dark clouds devour each wispy star

Oh I wish I was holding you

Instead of playing this murky bar

We’ve got to get away

From West Hollywood and LA

There’s a small resort where we can stay

Called Vila Bela Vista

Tonight the strip’s a parking lot

The horn on a Taurus is driving me crazy

It looks like it’s gonna rain

And I just dropped all of the Red Hots you gave me

Let’s find the quickest way

To a Portuguese hideaway

On the East edge of Funchal Bay
